Shoes and Jewellery

All children are asked to wear black shoes. For Health & Safety reasons please do not send children to school wearing ‘jelly’ or ‘foam’ shoes, or shoes with platforms or high heels.

For P.E. lessons, children require plain white T-shirts, black or white shorts with black pumps. For outdoor games, children require a warm track suit or jogging suit with trainers. Parents will be given sufficient notice of any outdoor activity or visit which will require specific items of clothing. Parents are asked to help the school by ensuring that all items of clothing are clearly labelled and are respectfully reminded that school cannot take responsibility for lost belongings. Jewellery is not permitted to be worn during P.E. and Games lessons. No form of jewellery should be worn during school hours. Children with pierced ears are permitted to wear studs only. Extreme fashion haircuts are actively discouraged. We welcome your full support in these matters. It is usual to leave ear-rings in newly pierced ears for a period of up to six weeks which could therefore impact on PE lessons.
