P.E. Kit
Please could children come to school wearing their outdoor P.E. kit on their designated days. Outdoor P.E. kit consists of a dark-coloured, warm tracksuit, white t-shirt (underneath) with trainers. Jewellery is not permitted to be worn during PE lessons and, unfortunately, earrings must be removed (without adult intervention) and cannot be taped over. Children with pierced ears should wear studs only. Long hair should be tied back at all times. Class P.E. days, for the Autumn Term are as follows:
Cadair Idris - Tuesday
Yr Wyddfa - Thursday
In the Junior department, it is now possible to purchase a healthy snack for your child. However, if you have elected to provide snack yourself, could we please ask that you supply a washed piece of fresh fruit or vegetables for your child. We recognize that there is a place for occasional treats within every diet, but would appreciate it if yogurts, breakfast bars, fruit winders, sugary snacks/chocolate bars etc. are avoided for daily snack.
We also understand that children/adults like to celebrate special occasions with their classmates. For example, many pupils like to bring birthday cakes to school on such special days. We are more than happy for this to happen but would ask if any cakes sent into school could be individually packaged e.g. cupcakes, donuts, etc. to ensure that disruption to learning time is kept to a minimum and fit in with current COVID regulations.
We encourage all pupils to drink a regular supply of water throughout the school day as part of our Accelerated Learning culture. School supplies water bottles with a sports cap and printed name label for your child at a cost of £1 from the class or school office. If parents wish to provide their own bottles, we please request that they are see-through and clearly labelled. Please note, no flavoured water, juice or energy drinks are allowed.
Each topic title will be decided by the class during the entry lesson. Children will have an input into the direction that the unit of work will take, to ensure engagement and enthusiasm with the learning.
Autumn Term - Here We Are (Recovery Curriculum) Mini-topic followed by WW2 Topic
Spring Term - Water-themed Topic
Summer Term - Transition Topic
