Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG)

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG) and how we allocate the funding.

Grant funding  smiley

At the beginning of the academic year, the Welsh Government released grant funding for Primary and Secondary schools across Wales.  Following the strict guidelines, the school has utilised the funding to allow, through the work that Mrs Sarah Jones carries out, additional pastoral support for families.  The work that Mrs Jones has been completing receives excellent feedback from children and parents, and has also been acknowledged by the Welsh inspectors, ESTYN.  Mrs Youd and our Teaching Assistants facilitate additional booster and extension group support for identified children.

PDG Short guidance

Our school improvement plan identifies how we use the Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG) to support our more vulnerable pupils. It also shows how we allocate other finances to support school progress, including the EIG (Education Improvement Grant).
