Outdoor PE :Thursday

Indoor PE: Friday.

Please can children attend school wearing their outdoor PE kit on the Thursday but bring an indoor PE kit to leave in school for the Friday lesson.

Please can children bring an indoor PE kit to leave in school for the Thursday lesson but attend school wearing their outdoor PE kit on the Friday.

Outdoor Kit consists of:

Outdoor trainers, white t-shirt and a warm, plain tracksuit sweatshirt / hooded jacket and tracksuit bottoms.

Indoor Kit consists of white t-shirt, black shorts / short leggings, and pumps.

Please ensure your child is not wearing any watches, earrings or any kind of jewellery on these days. 

Staff are unable to assist with removing any earrings. Thank you :-) 

Reading Books Update

The procedure for changing reading books is currently being reviewed to ensure that we are following the current guidelines for COVID-19. We will not be sending reading books out this week and more information will follow as soon as we have agreed the safest way.

Reading update 23.9.2020

Reading books will be given out to your child on a Friday and will need to be returned on the following Wednesday. Even if your child finishes reading their book, please do not return the book before the Wednesday.

Please return any reading diaries that you child has at home by Friday 25th September. 

When returning reading books on a Wednesday, please ensure that your child brings their reading diary to school also to enable Mrs White to monitor progress.

Snack

If your child would like a snack at break time you will need to provide it for them at this current time. It needs to be a type of fruit or vegetable please.

If your child would like to drink water throughout the day, please can you provide a water bottle for them. Water bottles are available from school for £1. Please can you ensure all bottles, clothing and any equipment is clearly labelled with their name.

Topic titles for this upcoming year...

As part of our 'Recovery Curriculum', the whole school have enjoyed reading 'Here we are' by Oliver Jeffers. We are linking our learning to this text up until half term. So far, we have enjoyed being creative in our outdoor environment and have many more exciting things planned, along with developing our English and Maths skills.

Ensure you have your child's 'Hwb' username and password to access the Year 4 Google Classroom. In order to login, please visit the 'Hwb' website.

(Your child's username and password was sent to your child when they were in Year 3.)

If you haven't already, please try login to 'Hwb' with your child at home so they will be prepared for future home learning. We have been busy logging on this week in school and every child has already joined our Year 4 2020 Google Classroom page.
